In 2024, I worked in a team to design a PFAS degradation device for the Next Idea Matters Sustainability Innovation Challenge.

- Designed an innovative household device to address PFAS contamination in drinking water, making clean water more accessible to affected families.
- Prioritized sustainability and equity by designing a low-cost, solar-powered system with an efficient catalyst, tailored for individual households.
- Participated and won the second-highest tier of awards in the Sustainability Innovation Competition by Next Idea Matters.
- A simple mockup with the planned 3-pipe system is shown on the left.
